How to look after and store your Crystals
Storing your crystals
The most important point to remember when storing your crystals is that even the hardest stones can be damaged. Tumbled stones are normally the easiest to look after as they have no delicate edges or points that can be broken from their matrix. Try and keep hard and soft crystals separate to avoid any unnecessary see MOHS Scale of Hardness for a full list of crystal hardnesses. Also be aware that some crystals can even loose their colour if exposed to strong light for any length of time like Amethyst for example.
Your crystals have taken thousands maybe millions of years to develop so take care in looking after them. A fishing tackle box is perfect as it has lots of small compartments to keep your crystals separate you may also find that wrapping certain delicate crystals in tissue will help them resist scratches or damage. Try to keep the air a constant temperature as some can be very sensitive to heat changes and humidity, Selenite for example can disintegrate in damp atmospheres.
But most of all enjoy your crystals and respect them and in return they will heal, calm and give you the power or their energies.
